Fishlicious! A shack on the shingle cooking up what fish and seafood has been caught that morning by the owners using their own inshore boats. Take away or eat outside at picnic tables looking out over the foreland and formidable power station.
Last time we went, I had fish in batter, he had grilled plaice. Both were accompanied by sauteed new potatoes, tartare sauce and an avocado salad in a deliciously light dressing. The portion size was slightly larger than I could manage and extremely good value for money at less than £20 including a couple of cans of fizzy drink.
It’s not licensed but you can bring your own (BYO). As the Snack Shack is at the mercy of the elements it is only open seasonally. And of course, dogs are welcome.
One of our most favourite places to eat. Perfect seaside food.
